He who
finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the LORD. Proverbs 18:22 (NKJV)

My Testimony: I grew up in Danville, IL in a non-christian home.  I have one brother, James (Jimmy) Wesley, living, and two that have gone home to be with the Lord, Samuel Arthur and Daniel Wayne.  My mother is Mary Lou and my father is Ralph Edward Jr.

Even though my parents were not Christians nor attended church, through their friend, Sarah Schlunaker (who baby sat my brother and me), I began to go to Sunday School and Treasure Hour (Children's ministry) at the Hillery Bible Chapel in Danville.  Then sometime in 1987 in Sunday School, my Sunday School teacher, Sieglind Hadley, shared the message of the gospel with me and I prayed and accepted Christ at the age of 6.

However, the choice of friends that I made had made it difficult for me to grow.  I began to hang out with the "Wrong Crowd."  I began making choices that I know did not please God.  Through His infinite grace, he brought me through high school and my first couple of years of the U.S. Air Force (USAF) in one piece.  God had brought a special friend, Paul Alberts, into my life during my middle school year and up to now that played a tremendous role in helping to keep me from falling too far into the life of sin I was heading in.  I praise God regularly for the work God did for me through this man's desire to serve and seek the lost.

In 2003, God began to once again work on my heart drawing me closer to Him.  I was in the middle of the country of Kuwait, serving our country in the USAF, He brought to my attention that I was only a Believer by my words and not my actions.  While over there I began drawing closer to God through prayer and the reading of His Word, the Bible.

Once I returned, I was baptized at Edgemont Bible Church in Fairview Heights, IL on Resurrection Sunday (Easter) 2004 by Pastor Doug White.  I made my profession of faith a public display.  Being baptized did not save me but was an act of obedience to God symbolizing my "Old Man" nature being buried with Christ, then raised up again out o the water as Christ was raised from the grave.

From that moment on I began to search out more Christian friendships.  However, it was hard as long as I maintained my old friendships with the unsaved.  I then began to start attending church regularly on Sunday mornings.  Then on January 16, 2005 I met the most special woman I had ever met.  This is the day in which I met my future wife, Laura Mae Croy.  From there God began to work quickly.  By the end of 2005, Laura and I had gotten married, we had both became members at Edgemont Bible Church, and we both began our service for the LORD!

Since then we have had our first child, a beautiful baby boy, Levi Edward, and we are now serving as leaders for the High School Bible Study at Edgemont.  There are many other ministries that God has allowed us to serve Him as well.  We are very excited to be a part of the work here on earth to reach as many of the lost as we can until His return!!

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Phil 4:13 (NKJV)

Through our prayers for our lost family members we now see my dad going to church regularly and my Grandmother, Phyllis, has accepted Christ at the age of 73 and was recently baptized.  Praise GOD!!

"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."
2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV)
