We are a family that are saved by the grace of God, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Because of the salvation we have in Him, we have chosen to serve and live for Him.
As God's chosen messenger Joshua said "choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15 NKJV
Acts 16:30 - "...what must I do to be saved?"
First one must recognize that they are a sinner.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
Romans 3:23 NKJV
"As it is written: 'There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God.'" Romans 3:10-11 NKJV
Since God is a Just God, there is punishment for those sins.
"For the wages of sin is death..." Romans 6:23a NKJV
"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to ALL men because ALL sinned--" Romans 5:12 NKJV
So the only way to deal with our sins is through death!!! Now that is scary.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
But lets see what else God's Word has to say...
"...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. " Romans 6:23b NKJV
"But God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 NKJV
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17 NKJV
So Jesus Christ died for our sins, so that we made be made righteous through Him. Romans 5:12-20
So again, "What must I do to be saved?"
Now you need to believe & trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved! This is not an intellectual knowledge and believing in God: "You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe,--and tremble." James 2:19
This is believing and trusting with the heart!!
"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
"I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture." John 10:9; This words were spoke by Jesus Christ Himself.
"For 'whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved." Romans 10:13
